When Starter Is Enough
Starter covers a single business with every core feature: CRM, funnels, websites, email and SMS, calendars, workflows, reputation management, payments, courses and the mobile app. Freelancers with up to three clients also fit. The limit is the three sub-accounts, and usage costs cannot be rebilled to clients.
When to Choose Unlimited
Unlimited costs $200 more per month than Starter, and the deciding factor is the number of clients. Once you manage a fourth client, Starter no longer works. Unlimited also lets you pass phone and email costs through to each client at cost, which protects your margin as client messaging grows.
Simple division of the $297 monthly subscription. Excludes usage costs, which can be rebilled to clients.
When Agency Pro Pays Off
Agency Pro is $200 more than Unlimited and adds the tools to run a software business: SaaS Mode, automatic sub-account creation when a customer pays, and rebilling of phone, email and AI usage with your own markup. If you plan to sell subscriptions to your platform, or want to profit from client usage, Agency Pro is the plan built for that. Read the SaaS Mode guide to see how it works.
If you only manage client marketing and do not plan to resell the software, Unlimited usually covers everything you need.
Enterprise
Enterprise is custom priced and adds dedicated account management, premium support, custom development and enterprise reporting, and includes the white-label mobile app and HIPAA compliance, which are paid add-ons on other plans.
Switching Plans Later
HighLevel runs month to month, and plans can be upgraded or downgraded from the dashboard. Many agencies start on Starter or Unlimited and move up when they sign more clients or launch a SaaS offer. Compare costs in the pricing guide.
